Does the world of Google's new Panda seem as ominous as a jungle?
Take solace, freedom-fighting SEO gurus. With the exception of one important change, Google's Panda hasn't altered the landscape too much.
The same Googlebot rules apply as always, just make note of the one new post-Panda rule:
Rule 1 (of 1) : Thou shalt only index the most high-quality of URLs. That's it. Jungle navigated.
More specifically, rather than indexing hundreds upon millions of URLs, Panda has made it imperative to only index the most high-quality URLs. To do that, remove all of the 'fluff' URLs that are extraneous and unnecessary. Then make sure that you send consistent signals as to which pages are most important. Once that is done, just double-check that you've done your regular SEO optimizing for the new, high-quality URLs...such as building internal links to the high-value URLs, build external links for those as well.
The moral of the Panda is really to focus on quality, rather than quantity. Eliminate the URL clutter and you're on your way to Panda Perfection.
